Lexi is BR's free Lexical Preprocessor. This is a simple program written entirely in BR that works to integrate BR with an external editor such as MyEdit. Using Lexi, the BR Programmer is able to write programs with no line numbers. Lexi adds the line numbers before "compiling" the source code to BR.

Lexi enables the BR programmer to write code much more effeciently then before, by giving the BR programmer access to many conviniences that have become standard in other languages. Among these are the ability to program without line numbers, and the SELECT CASE (or SWITCH) statement.
